In this teaching, we continue our biweekly topical series titled "Defining the Gospel" which is intended to strengthen the personal assurance of salvation in believers and prepare all of us to give a defense for the reason of the hope that is in us per 1 Peter 3:15. 
 
This week's teaching is an overview of the person and work of the Holy Spirit, including an overview and background of the Holy Spirit's coming, the Holy Spirit's role in salvation and applying the finished work of Christ to those who believe, how to know if we have the Holy Spirit dwelling within us, and the Holy Spirit's role in a believer's assurance of salvation.
